Portsmouth Book Nook to Open Its Doors at RiverRun Store: A New Independent Bookstore Celebrating Portsmouth Community and Reading
The Portsmouth Book Nook is now open!
This new independent bookstore will honor the legacy of RiverRun while focusing on community, families, and a shared love for reading.
Rooted in the values of discovery and connection, the Portsmouth Book Nook is a welcoming environment where families, readers, and learners of all ages can come together to explore and celebrate the joy of books.
“We believe a great bookstore can be the heart of a community,” said Ashley Meenaghan and Laura Koulet, co-founders of Portsmouth Book Nook. “Our goal is to create a space where people of all ages can connect, share ideas, and cultivate a love of reading.” As residents of Portsmouth, both Meenaghan and Koulet bring a deep understanding of the community’s needs.
More than just a retail space, Portsmouth Book Nook will grow to provide programming and partner with local organizations to promote author readings, book clubs, children’s storytime sessions, and events designed to inspire creativity and lifelong learning.
