In general, we accept used books that are in As New or Fine condition and published in the last 5 years or classics. Customers receive $3 store credit for each accepted used book. Any books that are not accepted are donated to a charity. We will not hold unaccepted used books for pickup.

Yes, you can order books online through our Bookshop affiliate site which can be accessed here: https://bookshop.org/shop/portsmouthbooknook. Bookshop.org orders will be shipped directly to your home.

We carry a wide variety of books and pride ourselves on having "something for everyone." This includes fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and gifts like candles, puzzles and blankets, and a curated selection of children's toys! 

Yes, we accept returns within 14 days as long as the item or book is in new condition and the customer has their receipt. After 14 days, the customer will receive store credit. We will not accept returns on used items (including books that were sold as Used).  

Call us at 603-380-7274 Sunday - Thursday 10-6 & Friday - Saturday 10-8. If we don't have your book in stock, we will do our best to find it for you.
